ABOUT ME
Julia Hoyle has over 27 years’ experience in non-profit administration and consulting with businesses to make them more productive and profitable. She has nurtured an entrepreneurial spirit for almost as many years.

Julia began her career in workforce development starting on the front line and working up to Director of the WorkLink Workforce Investment Board in Northwest South Carolina. Among many accomplishments are rebranding the agency, meeting or exceeding all performance measures, and growing the program from two staff to eight and doubling the funding to over $5 million.

In 2010 Julia set out on her entrepreneurial journey. Creating Your Connection as the umbrella company for several consulting ventures. The first focus was on customer relationship marketing. She also served for five years as membership and event planner for the Southeastern Employment and Training Association. In 2013, Julia purchased and ran The Arts Company, an art gallery/retail store. Currently, Julia is a sales associate for Vocational Research Institute, developer of CareerScope which measures both interest and aptitude through objective, valid, and reliable assessment tasks.

Along the way, Julia became a networking enthusiast. Discovering Business Network International (BNI) she found that a systematic approach suited her best. She soon became a Director Consultant for BNI by completing a national training course and worked with four chapters in the upstate of South Carolina including chartering two new chapters. This excitement for networking led Julia to become a speaker/trainer for Nspired Networking, Inc. educating business professionals on how to grow their business through referral marketing.

Julia has served on the boards of the Southeastern Employment & Training Association, Pickens Area SHRM, Safe Harbor, Seneca Junior Women’s Club, GFWC-Foothills Women’s Club, Palmetto Rug Bugs Rug Hooking Guild, and Camelot Home Owners Association.

Julia received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Business Administration from Erskine College.  She has lived in the upstate of South Carolina most of her life and currently lives in Clemson with her husband Kevin and four rescue pets (1 dog and 3 cats).
